Teresa (Tess) is a Costume and Set Designer working in the live performance and screen industries in Australia.
Tess received a Bachelor of Dramatic Art in Design from NIDA in 2009 and has worked in the industry for 10 years. As Costume Designer, Tess has worked with Opera Australia, Victorian Opera and on a variety of Theatre and Musical Theatre productions. Her Set design experience is primarily in Theatre. Tess’ screen credits include Production Designer, Costume Designer, Wardrobe Stylist, Costume Buyer, Costume Standby, Extras Costume and Costume Assistant. Tess enjoys designing for both screen and stage, and continues to work across a variety of mediums, including Web Series and TVCs. Tess is passionate about collaborating to create costumes that inform and move the audience and express the characters. She is particularly drawn to historical costuming, with a focus on ethical costume manufacture.
Tess has been nominated for Best Costume Design at the Sydney Theatre Awards for the musical Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (2013); and Best Costume Design for a TV production or Web Series for Sheilas (2018) at the APDG Awards.
Tess is currently based in Sydney.
